About trees
I have always been enchanted by trees. They provide us with food, shade, shelter, warmth, and a stout stick to hold us upright and defend ourselves. In the wind, they sing and dance and for us. They are some of the oldest and largest living things on our planet.
What I do
I love the feel of wood, that something so hard and coarse on the outside can become so smooth and soft. The aroma that wafts through the air while shaping and sanding is unique to each species. Sometimes I tell the wood what to become, but other times it shows me what it wants to be.
